Nipun – stitching a better future

The “Nipun Project,” implemented by Allcargo through its partner Sankalp Manav Vikas Sanstha, provides vocational training for marginalized women in Uran, Dhamni, Panvel, and Digha areas of western Maharashtra. This project offers three months of basic training followed by three months of advanced skill training for women over 18, focusing on tailoring skills for self-employment and livelihood.

The Women Empowerment & Livelihood Project aims to enhance the skills and livelihood opportunities for underprivileged, tribal, and marginalized women by providing tailoring training on industrial machines, thereby enabling them to either find gainful employment. This initiative supports families financially and promotes social development by equipping women with income-generating skills. Allcargo Group has been pivotal in supporting this project, ensuring proper training and livelihood opportunities.

Our training program extends beyond tailoring, including practical courses, extensive practice sessions, soft skills development, industry visits, activity-based learning, and assessments. Participants gain a wide range of skills and knowledge to enhance their learning experience.

Last year, we trained 470 women from economically weaker backgrounds, providing income opportunities to 223 women through our production center orders, such as bag stitching, potli bags, file folders, canvas potli bags, and blouses, generating an income of around Rs. 11 lakh

The primary objective is to empower marginalized women by equipping them with valuable skills, enabling sustainable income and improved livelihoods.
