Jeevan Coping with Cancer Project: Enabling Life

Allcargo’s CSR efforts, under the Avashya Foundation, focus on enhancing public health accessibility and affordability. The Jeevan Coping with Cancer Project, was launched at Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital, Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College, Topiwala National Medical College & B.Y.L. Nair Charitable Hospital, and King Edward Memorial Hospital. It provides psychosocial counselling, medical and educational assistance, livelihood support, and even scholarships to persons affected by cancer.  Over the past nine years, the Jeevan Project has supported nearly 27,500 patients across Sion, Nair, and KEM hospitals.

Ms. Manasi Patil is among the many who received support from the project. The 36-year-old diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer, benefited from personalized treatments and financial support through the Jeevan Coping with Cancer Project at Nair Hospital. This comprehensive support improved her treatment response and extended survival.

The Jeevan Coping with Cancer Project has significantly improved the lives of economically disadvantaged cancer patients at Sion, Nair, and KEM Hospitals. Through medical, financial, and psychosocial support, the project has enhanced patient outcomes and quality of life, underscoring the vital role of CSR in healthcare.
