Skills and knowledge are the driving forces of economic growth and social development for any country. India is one of the youngest countries in the world, with over 54% of the population below 25 years of age and over 62% of the population in the working age group of 15-59 years.
Aiming to train, groom and enhance the skills of the youth, and make them ready for employability so as to add to the economic development of our nation, Allcargo Logistics, in partnership with Niveda Foundation successfully completed a training course at the Nipun Computer Skill Centre, from July to September 2023, in Tilpata in Greater Noida.
The program was especially designed to create a pool of young and independent people, from the marginalized section of the society, through skill enhancement with the market requirements. A total of 30 trainees enrolled for skill development with computer, IT, Logistics training, along with and soft skills.
The training course was divided into three modules daily, including theory, practice, and communication skills. Various ad-hoc modules were also part of the training course, including confidence building, public speaking, Resume making, and industry visit.
As a testament to the effort hard work the trainees put in, 22 of the 30 trainees were placed in employment immediately after the course completion.
