Road safety has become an increasingly pressing issue, with a growing need for enhanced measures to address the alarming statistics associated with road accidents. In line with its commitment to road safety, Allcargo Supply Chain, the contract logistics division of Allcargo Group, launched Road Safety Projects in Karnataka, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu. Successful workshops were conducted in the last week of October, 2023, in Malur, Hyderabad, and Chennai, organized in collaboration with the Foundation of His Sacred Majesty (FHSM), a Chennai-based non-profit organization.
Along with the Road safety workshop, the Drushti Eye camp was also conducted – two each in Malur and Hyderabad, and three in Chennai, where FHSM staff and volunteers reached out to the most vulnerable sections of society so that they become the first beneficiaries of this project. So far, 149 cataract surgeries, screening of 2,788 beneficiaries, 903 patients referred for higher treatments, and 790 spectacles distributed.
