The Allcargo-Avvashya group won the Times Cricket Shield final held for the ‘E’ division on March 04, 2017 by defeating Ocian’s cricket club in the final played at the Wankhede Stadium. The Times Cricket Shield is a prestigious inter-corporate cricket competition held in Mumbai city since 1930. Having ended the 87th edition of the tournament, it has been nurturing talented cricketers over the years.
Batting first, Osian’s scored 204 in 45 overs with notable contributions from Megh Adhvaryu and Anurag Yadav. Aniket Yame took 3 wickets for the Allcargo-Avvashya side. In reply, the Allcargo team managed to overhaul the target in 32.3 overs thanks to a brilliant 114 by Deepak Bhogle. He was ably supported by Vishwas Shinde with a half-century.
